The night of September 27th, 2008 at the Union Club….

THE WHO’S NEW CLUB WILL HOST THEIRBLACK & WHITE BALL

(PANAMA, REPUBLIC OF PANAMA)
May 7, 2008 – Billed as the “party of the century”, the original Black & White Ball was held on November 28th, 1966 in New York City at the Plaza Hotel. It brought together the worlds of New York high society, the Washington, D.C. power structure and the glitter and glamour of Hollywood like never before. The party’s host was none other than the famous author, Truman Capote. In later years, this dance became a society legend, with magazines such as Vogue, Esquire and Vanity Fair providing ample media coverage and analysis as to why this event became a cultural and social symbol of its times.

The international women’s social club, Who’s New of Panama, is pleased to announce that they will hold their own version of this well-known event on Saturday, September 27th, 2008 at 8:00 p.m. at the Union Club.

The Who’s New Black & White ball will have live music, a menu of gourmet cuisine and exquisite decoration true to the night’s theme. Members and their guests will be dressed in the classic colors of black and white, the union of polar extremes that has become a traditional duo now seen more than ever in the latest collections of well-known designers.

Event coordinators are Tammie Matheney and Donna Siebrasse de Sanchíz. Ticket chairwoman is Nancy Gross. The club’s president for the 2007-2008 year is Jeannette Vega.
